Places
Linda’s work has been purchased or commissioned for several prominent locations throughout the country including medical facilities, schools, universities, business offices and a residential apartment lobby. Places her work can be seen range from Alaska to Maine, Washington, Colorado, Texas and the city of Chicago.
Enjoying the chance to work in the larger format public installations can provide, her largest project encompassed two quilts, each measuring five feet by ten feet, depicting an Alaskan landscape. That project was commissioned by the Department of Veterans Affairs for their Alaska VA Healthcare System Regional Office.
Public commissions also provide Linda the chance to explore new subjects such as the opportunity given by two large quilts she created for the Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Hung in the neo-natal unit, the pieces explored the theme of motherhood and featured poetry quilted onto their surface.
